Every year, the Fondation Jérôme Lejeune launches the Jérôme Lejeune Young Researcher Award to encourage and recognise the work of young scientists that are completing or have completed their PhD thesis on Down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities of genetic origin.

Eligibility
- Candidates enrolled in the 2nd year of PhD or who have successfully defended their thesis less than a year before the application deadline.
- Candidates must be registered in or have obtained their PhD degree from a French doctoral school.
Selection
Entries will be considered by the Scientific Advisory Board of the Fondation Jérôme Lejeune and the selection of the recipient(s) will take place in May 2021.
Award
An endowment of €10,000 will be awarded.
